Community Organizations and Groups
If you and your adversary are both involved in your community, the issue of being involved in the same things may come up as well. This does happen, just like it does with schools and the like.
It is my personal opinion that, like I have said before, it is best to keep your personal issues out of the community eye unless it is absolutely necessary. We have really only brought our concerns to any community group or organization where and when we found it necessary. Otherwise, we have just put on a fake smile and trudged along doing what we do.
If the occasion arises that you have to say something for your own good or the good of those around you, go into the process expecting that down the road you will get attacked in retaliation.
People will react one of two ways in a situation like this; most people that are reasonably sane will, once being called out to answer for their wrongs, will be embarrassed and simply leave. However, if you are blessed in dealing with the other kind, which is a good chance if they have already proven themselves somewhat unstable, you can bet they'll come back attacking you.
If the tit-for-tat starts you can be very sure that the org will have no interest or time to sit and figure out who's right and who's wrong, or, really care. Most often organizations will simply want to situation done, and the easiest way to do that is to get rid of all participants. Who's right and who's wrong is moot, if somebody is lying doesn't matter, they don't want to deal with it and their best course of action is to simply make the problem go away the quickest way possible.
